NEPAL 7.8

TERREMOTO IN NEPAL

The earthquake that struck Nepal in 2015 was a catastrophic event of devastating proportions. On April 25, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake shook the Himalayan nation, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives and causing severe material damage. Six months after the disaster, I decided to go there. One of the most affected cities was Kathmandu, the capital, along with numerous mountainous rural areas. The consequences of the earthquake were devastating, with entire communities losing their homes and crucial infrastructure such as schools and hospitals. Nepal faced a long and challenging phase of recovery and reconstruction, aided by international organizations and global community support.
The Nepalese people demonstrated extraordinary solidarity and a spirit of survival, keeping hope alive and working hard to rebuild their lives and their country.
The resilience of the Nepalese people was a shining example of strength and determination following the 2015 earthquake. Despite the devastation, communities showed remarkable adaptability and recovery capacity. People faced challenges with courage, working together to rebuild their lives and communities. Solidarity among Nepalis emerged tangibly, with neighbors supporting one another and strangers coming together to offer help and support. Through hard work and determination, the Nepalese people demonstrated extraordinary resilience, standing firm in the face of adversity and looking to the future with hope and resolve.
